2020 was a year with a lot of unprecedented events, but it didn’t stop COPA from contributing to the community.  Among COPA’s many achievements in 2020, the most notable one is COPA Webinars – 16 speakers, 10 online sessions, with topics covering technical skills, soft skills and business acumen, which construct the “Three-Leg Table” model for career development.  These online sessions attracted professionals, entrepreneurs, scholars and students at all levels of experience, not just in Houston but across North America.  COPA Webinars serve as a platform for knowledge sharing and professional networking to help participants’ career development.

In 2021, COPA wants to continue the success that was achieved with COPA Webinars in 2020.  The Executive Committee proposed three themes, 1) Business Acumen in O&G Industry, 2) Building Own O&G Business, 3) Opportunities with Macro Trends, e.g., Carbon Neutrality, Digital Transformation and Automation. We have already received many proposed topics from interested speakers, and this momentum helps us start strong in 2021!
